The Super Eagles of Nigeria went to a new heights, clinching the 2025 Unity Cup title in a thrilling final against Jamaica at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.

The match, which concluded in a 2-2 draw after regulation time, saw Nigeria triumph 5-4 in a tense penalty shootout, making it their third Unity Cup victory following successes in 2002 and 2004.

Under the guidance of the head coach Eric Chelle, the Super Eagles showed a blend of experience and emerging talent throughout the tournament.

Despite playing without key players like Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman in earlier matches the team was able to pull through their win.

Several key players of the team have now taken to social media to celebrate the tournament victory.

Rangers star Cyriel Dessers who scored the Super Eagles first goal of the tournament against the Black Stars of Ghana also celebrated the win.

Chelle used the tournament as preparation ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
