Then My Hustle Started Making Sense
When I graduated, I thought getting a job would be the next step. I spent months sending CVs. Some companies never replied. Some invited me for interviews and I never heard from them again. Eventually, I started helping a friend sell clothes online. At first, I didn't see it as a hustle. I was just trying to make some money while waiting for a “proper job.”
I started posting clothes on WhatsApp. Sometimes I'd spend the whole day posting and get just one person asking for the price. Other days, nobody asked anything.
Then one day, someone I didn't even know ordered three pieces.
My profit wasn't much, but I remember looking at the money and thinking:
“So this thing can actually work.”
I started taking it more seriously. I learnt how to take better pictures, how to talk to customers and how to convince people without forcing them to buy.
I still haven't stopped looking for a job.
But now, I'm no longer sitting around waiting for one opportunity to change my life.
I'm building something while I wait.
Maybe that's what hustling really means sometimes, not having everything figured out, but finding a way to keep moving.
