Two years at the same job. You have shown up, delivered, and earned your reputation.
Then your boss calls you in with good news. A promotion. More responsibility, a bigger title, your own team to lead.
There is one problem. Your salary stays exactly the same.
Your boss says the title will look good on your CV. That it opens doors. That the money will follow once you have proven yourself in the role.
Do you accept it for the experience, push back and negotiate, or turn it down until the pay matches the work?
Tell us your choice and why. The strongest answer is not the loudest one. It is the one that shows you understand what you would be giving up either way.
