BEST PLACE TO GIST AFTER LECTURES?

As today is Monday, and Monday is packed with lectures from morning till evening, where do you go to relax after the day's work?

Mine is the Relaxation Center, at Phase 2. After a stressful lecture day I just stroll down to phase 2, the breeze there is welcoming and the wifi signal is strong I go there to relax and also get to use the Wi-Fi. Two benefits in one location!!!

Now, FUOYE students, where's your favorite spot to gist after lectures?

Drop your location in the comments. Let's see where the real campus gist happens.

THE LECTURER CANCELLED CLASS AFTER YOU ARRIVED!

Imagine waking up early, getting dressed, taking your bath, looking all fresh, and heading to class with the hope of having a productive day. Only for you to arrive and hear those dreaded words: "The lecturer said there's no class today."

Omo! The pain is different when you've already spent money on transportation.

Personally, I stay at Phase 3, and thankfully, most of my classes are around Phase 3, so it doesn't always hurt that much. But the moment I have a class at Phase 1 and make that journey, only to find out that the lecturer has cancelled it? Omo, na that one dey pain me pass!

Imagine spending money on transportation, stressing yourself to get there, and then realizing you've made the journey for absolutely nothing. The way you'll just stand there questioning your entire existence!

At that point, you won't even know whether to be angry, laugh, or just find somewhere to sit and recover from the disappointment.

But let's hear from you!

Have you ever travelled all the way to your lecture venue, only for the lecturer to cancel class after you arrived?

What's your reaction

A. Laugh it off and go back home.

B. Get angry because of the wasted transport fare

C. Find somewhere to sit and contemplate life

D. Since I'm already here, let me find my friends and guest with them.

Let's know what you will do if you ever find yourself in such situations

HOSTEL ROOMMATE DRAMA: MY BELONGINGS OR OUR BELONGINGS? 😭😂

Let me tell you something that happened to me in 100 Level at my Hall of Residence, Phase 3. 😂😭

I had this roommate who apparently believed that whatever belonged to me also belonged to him. Imagine coming back to your room and discovering that your roommate had taken your slippers (palm slippers) and worn them to class without even asking for permission! 😭 I would come back, look around, and wonder, "What kind of audacity is this?" 😂

But wait, it gets worse! There was a time he wore the outfit I had specifically worn for my birthday. Omo! I was ready to lose it. I was practically asking myself, "Who is this guy, abeg? Did we sign any agreement that says my belongings are now community property?" 😭😂.

Honestly, I still wonder what goes through the minds of people who feel so comfortable using other people's belongings without asking.

Now, let me ask you! 👀👇

Imagine your roommate keeps using your things without your permission, from your slippers and clothes to your food and other personal belongings.

What would you do?

A. Confront them immediately and set clear boundaries.

B. Hide your belongings and let them figure it out.

C. Ignore it to maintain peace in the room.

D. Give them a taste of their own medicine by using their things too! 😂

Be honest! Have you ever had a roommate who treated your belongings like shared property? Tell us your experience in the comments. We want to hear the REAL hostel gist! 🔥

FUOYE Medical Screening. What's Your Experience So Far?

Let's be honest, FUOYE medical screening can be quite stressful. From the blood and urine tests to the eye test and X-ray, the process can be exhausting, especially with the large crowds and long queues.

What's even more frustrating is that without your medical certificate, you can't complete your student file opening.

So, let's hear from you!

100 Level students: How is your medical screening going so far? Is the process smooth, or are you finding it stressful?

Staylites: How did you go about yours when you were in 100 Level? Any tips or advice to help the freshers get through the process more easily?

Share your experiences, challenges, and helpful tips in the comments. Your experience might make things easier for another student!
