I Left Too Soon

When I met her, life felt lighter. We weren't rich, but we had dreams bigger than our pockets. We laughed over roadside food, planned imaginary vacations, and promised never to let money define our love.

Then reality came knocking.

I lost my job. Bills piled up. I became withdrawn because I didn't want her to see me as a failure. Instead of explaining what I was going through, I started creating distance. She thought I had stopped loving her. I thought I was protecting her from my struggles.

One day she asked, "Did I do something wrong?"

I replied with the coldest words I've ever spoken: "Maybe we're not meant for each other."

She cried, but she respected my decision.

Months later, I found stability again. That's when I realized she had never asked me for money—she only wanted honesty. I had left not because love had ended, but because fear had taken over.

Looking back, I wouldn't leave.

Love deserves conversations before conclusions.

The greatest lesson I learned is that silence destroys relationships faster than hardship ever will.
