Love Won the Day I Chose Forgiveness

People think heartbreak begins when someone says goodbye.

Mine began long before that.

We stopped listening. We started keeping scores of who apologized last, who called first, who loved more. Pride quietly replaced affection.

The day she left, I blamed her.

Months later, I discovered the hardest truth: love didn't fail because one person stopped caring. It failed because two people stopped understanding.

Pain became my greatest teacher.

I learned that love isn't proved by expensive gifts but by consistency. It isn't measured by perfect moments but by staying when life becomes imperfect.

Would I choose love again?

Yes.

Not because the ending wasn't painful, but because loving someone sincerely changed me into a better person. Even though the relationship ended, the lessons remained.

Sometimes love wins.

Sometimes people don't.

And that's okay.

Because real love leaves you wiser, not bitter.
