Leaving my past relationship wasn’t easy, but staying would have meant losing who I was. I realized that love shouldn’t feel like confusion, pain, or constant doubt. It should feel like peace, growth, and respect.
I walked away because I deserve consistency, honesty, and a love that doesn’t make me question my worth. I felt like I was the only one in the relationship, despite him showing emotions of love most time when something good happened to him but aside that, I felt bored and lonely despite the fact I was in a relationship. I felt I deserved more of his love and affection not me begging for it or me telling him how he should treat me.
This is me letting go of what hurt me… and making space for what I truly deserve. For that kind of a relationship I will still choose to LEAVE
