A lady divorce her husband for cooking 😏

So this woman is divorcing her husband, and the reason got me really thinking.

The husband doesn't do ANYTHING in the house. The wife does all the cleaning, laundry, cooking, and takes care of the children. The wife thought maybe it's because he couldn't do them and wasn't brought up that way.

This was her consolation.

However, the husband entered the kitchen one of these days and started cooking.

The woman was even happy that her husband had changed and all, only for the husband to package the food to take out of the house. When he was asked who the food was for, he said it was for his female colleague at work who wasn't feeling too well.

This infuriated the woman and demeaned her so badly.

The woman feels if he can't cook for his own wife and family and do anything at home but could, without hesitation, cook for a female friend at work, then the marriage isn't even worth it.

Do you think she took it too far?!

THE PRESSURE TO HAVE YOUR LIFE FIGURED OUT BEFORE 30

There is a kind of pressure that comes with growing older as a woman. By a certain age, you're expected to have a good job, be financially stable, be in a serious relationship, get married, or at least have your life all figured out.

You open social media and see someone announcing her engagement, another buying a house, another landing her dream job, and another travelling abroad. Suddenly, you start wondering if you're falling behind. But the truth is, life is not a competition, and we are not all meant to reach the same milestones at the same time. Some women are rebuilding their lives. Some are still discovering what they want. Some are struggling silently, while others are finally beginning to see the results of years of hard work. Your journey is still valid, even if it doesn't look like everyone else's. You are allowed to grow at your own pace, change your plans, start again, and celebrate the little progress you make along the way.

A gentle reminder: You don't have to have everything figured out to be proud of the woman you are becoming.

Let's talk, ladies!

Do you think society puts too much pressure on women to achieve certain milestones before 30, or do you believe the pressure sometimes comes from comparing ourselves to others?

Share your thoughts in the comments, and let's learn from one another.

WELCOME TO HER PALAVER

Not just a space for women. A space for her to become.

HerSpace is a community where women and girls can speak freely, share their stories, ask difficult questions, explore opportunities, and grow together without fear of judgment.

From relationships and self-worth to money, career, friendship, and personal growth, we create room for the conversations that matter but don't always happen.

Because one woman's story could be another woman's lesson, and no woman should have to figure everything out alone.

LET'S START OUR FIRST CONVERSATION!

Complete this sentence in the comments:

I wish more women knew that __________.

Share a truth, a lesson, or a reminder you believe every woman or girl needs to hear.

Let's listen, learn, and grow together.

Her voice matters. Her story matters. Her becoming matters.
