The Uncanny Counter is a South Korean fantasy-action drama that follows a secret group of people called Counters, whose mission is to hunt down and defeat evil spirits that escape from the afterlife and possess human bodies to gain power. These spirits commit terrible crimes, and it is the Counters’ duty to stop them and send their souls back to the afterlife.

The Counters live normal lives on the surface, working in a small noodle restaurant that serves as their headquarters. Each Counter has special abilities such as super strength, speed, healing powers, and the ability to sense evil spirits. Their powers come from spiritual guardians called Yung partners, who guide and support them.

The story centers on So Mun, a kind-hearted high school student who becomes the youngest Counter after a tragic accident. As he learns to control his new powers, he also uncovers hidden truths about his parents’ death and his own past. Along the way, the team faces increasingly powerful and dangerous spirits, testing their courage, unity, and sense of justice.
