Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the La Liga season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The visitors stunned the home crowd early on when Vedat Muriqi rose highest to head in from a corner in the 18th minute, giving Mallorca a surprise lead.
Madrid responded strongly and turned the game around just before half-time. In the 37th minute, Arda Güler equalized with a close-range finish after a well-worked move. Barely a minute later, Vinícius Júnior fired home to put Los Blancos in front, completing a quickfire turnaround.
The second half saw drama as three Madrid goals were ruled out by VAR two for offside against Kylian Mbappé and another against Güler for handball. Mallorca nearly leveled, but Álvaro Carreras produced a crucial goal-line clearance to keep Madrid ahead.
Despite late pressure, Real Madrid held firm to secure all three points in front of more than 72,000 fans. The win leaves them with three victories from three matches, sitting comfortably at the top end of the table.
