Dora and Peter had been high school sweethearts and they finally got married. Their wedding was beautiful and everyone agreed, they were a match made in heaven.

Dora poured her energy into expanding her boutique, after her wedding. She had big dreams and bold business ideas, determined to become a successful entrepreneur and contribute meaningfully to their new home.

Two years into the marriage, everything seemed to be going smoothly, until Peter dropped a bombshell.

“We’re relocating to Estonia,” he said one evening, almost casually.

Dora was stunned. “Relocating?” she echoed, barely able to process the news. “Peter, we never discussed this, not even once. We always talk about everything. Where is this coming from?”

Her heart sank. She felt blindsided, not just by the suddenness of the decision, but by the fact that her partner someone she trusted deeply, had made such a life-altering plan without her input.

Peter, seeing her confusion, tried to reassure her. “I wanted to surprise you,” he said, “and you can move your business. It’ll be a new beginning for both of us.” Dora, it didn’t feel like a surprise. It felt like a betrayal.
