Tamuno a 29-year-old civil engineer from Port Harcourt, never imagined that the woman he had loved and dated for two years would break his heart in the most unimaginable way.

Tamuno and Amarachi a 27-year-old makeup artist, had what he believed was a strong and supportive relationship. They shared dreams of building a future together and he had even started saving towards an engagement ring. So when Amarachi told him she landed a major job gig as a bridal makeup artist in Abuja, he was nothing but supportive.

“She said it was a high-profile wedding and could open doors for her career,” Tamuno said. “I was so proud of her. I even took time off work to drive her to the airport.”

They hugged, kissed and said their usual “I love you” at the terminal. Tamuno watched her walk into the departure hall, confident they’d speak later that night.

The next day, Tamuno’s world came crashing down.

As he scrolled through Instagram, a tagged video stopped him cold, Amarachi, dressed in a lavish white wedding gown, was smiling and walking down the aisle, not as a makeup artist, but as the bride.

He kept replaying the video thinking it was a mistake. But the more he watched, the clearer it became , she wasn’t working the wedding. She was the wedding,” Tamuno recalled.

Friends confirmed the shocking news, Amarachi had been secretly engaged to another man for months and had only used Tamuno’s love and support to cover her tracks.

Devastated and humiliated, Tamuno has since gone offline to process the betrayal. Friends say he’s taking it one day at a time but remains deeply shaken.
