When Janet welcomed a set of twins, joy filled her home. As the only daughter out of four siblings, tradition demanded that her mother should come stay with her and help with the babies. But her mother is late, Janet turned to her mother-in-law for support.

Two weeks later, her father called with a sweet surprise, he wanted to come over and help with the newborns. Overjoyed, Janet agreed, happy that there would be more hands to ease the stress of motherhood.

Living in a modest two-bedroom apartment, Janet, her husband and the twins stayed in one room, while her father and mother-in-law shared the other. Everything seemed perfect.

But then came the unthinkable. After two months, Janet returned home from work one evening only to walk in on a scene that shattered her peace, her father and mother-in-law kissing and making out.

Her world spun. The very people she trusted to help her had crossed an unimaginable line. Confused and devastated, Janet is now caught in a storm of decisions:

• Should she send her father back home and pretend nothing happened?

• Should she confront her husband with the truth, knowing it could shake the entire family?

• Or should she send both parents away, but then, who will help her care for her babies and can she ever face her father-in-law.
