It was meant to be the happiest weekend of Thabo’s life. After months of planning, the wedding was just a day away. Excited and filled with love, he decided to surprise his fiancée, Ayanda, by personally delivering her bridal shower cake that evening.

What he walked into shattered his world.

As he opened the door to her hotel room, using the spare key she had given him, he heard soft laughter and low voices. Curious, he stepped inside, only to stop dead. There, in her room, lay Ayanda, in bed with none other than his uncle, Bra Sipho.

Thabo stood frozen, the cake box slipping from his hands and crashing to the floor. Ayanda leapt up in shock, trying to cover herself, while Bra Sipho mumbled something incoherent. The betrayal cut deep from the two people he trusted the most.

Without a word, Thabo turned and walked out.

The wedding was called off immediately. Devastated and humiliated, he cut ties with both of them. It took time, prayer and true friends to help him heal.
