Meg had been married for four years with two children, trapped in an aggressive and toxic relationship. The breaking point came the day her husband stabbed her in the stomach while she was three months pregnant. Her neighbors rushed her to the hospital, but tragically, she lost the baby.
Meg spent almost two weeks in the hospital and her husband never visited her.
The moment she was discharged, she went straight home, picked her kids up from school, packed all their belongings and ran away. She moved to another city and changed her identity. No one not even her parents knew her whereabouts.
To protect her children, she told them their father was dead. Twenty-two years later, her son was preparing to get married. One evening, he called her, his voice heavy with emotion.
“I found my father,” he said. “He’s alive and I’m angry with you.” Meg tried to explain but her son didn’t give her a listening ear.
If you where in Meg shoes what will you do?
