Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has strongly criticised the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the deadly bombings in Borno State.

Amaechi described the government as “abysmally incompetent”, accusing it of failing in its primary duty to protect lives and property after the tragic incident in Maiduguri.

The reaction comes after multiple suspected suicide bombings rocked Maiduguri, killing at least 23 people and injuring over 100 others, in one of the deadliest attacks in recent times.

Amaechi said the continued loss of lives highlights growing insecurity across the country, calling for urgent and decisive action to address the crisis.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has condemned the attacks and directed security chiefs to intensify operations and restore order in the affected areas.
