New Year Message from Prof. Lilian Orogbu

My dear constituents,

As we usher in this New Year, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. May 2026 bring you peace, prosperity, and renewed hope.

The past year has been one of service, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment. I have remained anchored in the values that brought me into public office: truth, transparency, and tireless representation. I am proud to say that we have not only kept our promises, we have exceeded expectations.

From education to agriculture, youth empowerment to infrastructure, we have made meaningful strides in transforming lives across our constituency. I made a solemn promise that every community would feel the presence and impact of good governance, and I am proud to share that, under my representation, we have successfully delivered at least one impactful project in 14 communities.

But our work is far from done. Our vision is clear: every one of the 19 communities in Awka North and South must benefit from purposeful development. We are committed to making this a reality.

As 2026 unfolds, I assure you that our resolve is stronger than ever. I remain focused on the people. I remain focused on you.

In that spirit, and after deep reflection and wide consultations, I took a bold step yesterday in the direction of my convictions. I officially announce my defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). I do so in solidarity with my leader, @PeterObi, and in alignment with the aspirations of millions of well-meaning Nigerians who believe in the dream of a New Nigeria, a nation built on justice, equity, competence, and compassion.

This decision is not just political; it is deeply personal. It is about standing where my conscience aligns and where the hopes of our people can find true expression. I believe that together, under this new platform, we can build a future that works for all.

In the months ahead, we will deepen our engagements, expand our reach, and continue to bring development closer to our people. We will listen more, act faster, and build better. Together, we will rise above the noise and stay true to the mission: to serve with integrity and deliver results that matter.

Thank you for your trust. Thank you for your support. Let us walk boldly into the New Year, united, hopeful, and determined to make history.

A New Nigeria is Possible. Awka North and South Are Leading the Charge.

Happy New Year, and God bless you all.
