Former Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Isa Ashiru Kudan, has resigned his membership from the PDP following his recent visit to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
According to a media post by Ashiru Kudan on Monday, March 30, 2026, the decision followed careful reflection on the state of affairs within the party.
He stated that the move was not taken lightly but was made in good faith and with a clear sense of responsibility.
“I have formally resigned my membership from the Peoples Democratic Party. This decision follows careful reflection on the state of affairs within the party,” he said.
Ashiru Kudan further emphasized that his resignation does not affect his commitment to public service, noting that he remains dedicated to the pursuit of unity, progress, and good governance.
However, this development could signal shifting dynamics within the opposition, particularly in Kaduna State, as consultations and realignments continue ahead of future political activities.
