Kola Pellegrino, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on Nigerians to support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. His appeal comes amid growing political activity and realignments among opposition figures ahead of the next general polls.

In recent developments, several opposition leaders—including former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi—have reportedly adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a potential platform to challenge the incumbent president.

This move signals an emerging coalition effort aimed at unseating the APC-led administration in the forthcoming election.

Despite these developments, Pellegrino expressed strong confidence in the achievements of the current administration and its chances of securing another term.

In a video shared by Channels Television, he emphasized that the APC government has made significant contributions to national development, suggesting that citizens should acknowledge these efforts through electoral support.

He further argued that the principle of reciprocity should guide voters’ decisions, noting that the government’s performance warrants continued public backing.

Pellegrino maintained that choosing not to support the APC at the polls would be counterproductive, reinforcing his optimism about the party’s prospects in 2027.

According to him, “The only thing you can do to compensate us for what we are doing is whichever way, if you vote against us, I am telling you, it is a wasted vote.”

His remarks highlight the APC’s strategy of framing the upcoming election as a referendum on its performance in office.

At the same time, the growing coordination among opposition figures suggests that the political landscape may become increasingly competitive as the election approaches.

As political campaigns gradually take shape, both the ruling party and opposition groups are expected to intensify their engagement with voters, presenting their respective visions for Nigeria’s future.
