Over Epstein Joke At Grammys

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has lashed out at comedian and television host Trevor Noah, threatening legal action over remarks made during the 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony that allegedly linked him to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The controversy began during the live broadcast of the Grammys, where Noah—known for his sharp political humor—made a joke referencing high-profile figures allegedly associated with Epstein. In the remark, Trump claims Noah falsely stated that both he and former President Bill Clinton had spent time on Epstein’s private island.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump strongly denied the allegation and described the comment as both “false” and “defamatory.” He insisted that he had never visited Epstein’s island and had never previously been accused of doing so.

“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!!” Trump wrote. “I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false statement, I have never even been accused of being there.”

Trump, who has in the past acknowledged knowing Epstein socially, reiterated that he cut ties with him long before Epstein’s legal troubles became public. Epstein, a convicted sex offender, died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, and his associations with powerful individuals have remained a subject of global scrutiny.

Beyond denying the claim, Trump also launched a personal attack on Noah, criticizing his performance as host of the Grammys. He compared him unfavorably to Jimmy Kimmel, suggesting both comedians contribute to declining television ratings.

“The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards,” Trump said, adding that the broadcast itself was “virtually unwatchable.”

He further took aim at the network behind the event, CBS, claiming it was “lucky” not to continue airing what he described as poor-quality programming.

In a more serious escalation, Trump indicated he is considering legal action against Noah, stating that his lawyers may pursue a lawsuit over the alleged defamation.

“It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless M.C., and suing him for plenty,” Trump wrote, signaling a potential court battle.

The situation highlights the ongoing sensitivity surrounding Epstein’s legacy, as numerous public figures have faced varying degrees of scrutiny over past associations with him. However, documented visits to Epstein’s private island remain disputed in several cases, often fueling controversy when mentioned publicly.
