Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Kaka Shehu Lawan, has emerged as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.

The affirmation exercise conducted by the Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee for Borno State, Prophet Jones, and was attended by APC leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the Borno Central Senatorial Zone.
