Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday led a high-powered delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adewole Ladoja.

Atiku was accompanied by Senator Liyel Imoke, former Governor of Cross River State; Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, former Governor of Kaduna State; and other leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The visit marks a historic moment as it is the first official courtesy visit received by Kabiyesi Oba Ladoja since his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The delegation congratulated the monarch on his ascension to the throne, commended his remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development, and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous reign.

Oba Adewole Ladoja, in his remarks, expressed gratitude for the honour of the visit and assured the delegation of his continued commitment to fostering unity, peace, and progress both in Ibadanland and across Nigeria.

The visit was filled with warm exchanges, cultural blessings, and reaffirmation of strong bonds between traditional institutions and national leaders.
