DISSOLUTION OF SOKOTO STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND APPOINTMENT OF A CARETAKER COMMITTEE.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in accordance with Article 29(2)(b) of the party’s constitution, has approved the immediate dissolution of the Sokoto State Executive Committee.

Consequently, the National Working Committee approves the appointment of a Caretaker Committee for the State with the following as members.

The Committee members are:-

1. Hon Hayatu Tafida - Chairman
2. Garba M Duka- Member
3. Ibrahim Dagara - Member
4. Hadiza Abubakar Tambuwal - Member
5. Hajia Inno Attahiru - Member
6. Zayyan S Marafa - Member
7. Faisal Jubrin Member
8. Hon Kabiru Aliyu - Member
9. Abdulqadir Umar Gidadawa - Member
10. Zainab Nasser Dogondaji - Member
11. Hon Musa Abubakar Girkau - Member
12. Mohammed Abubakar Shinko- Member
13- Aliyu Abubakar Alkammawa - Member
14- Hajiya Maryam kende
15 - Ahmed S Pawa - Secretary

The Committee is charged with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the Party in their State as stipulated in section 21(2) (a-b) of PDP Constitution.

The tenure of this committee shall be for a period of 30 days, or until such a time as new Executive committee is elected.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
