ADC Releases Updated Primary Election Timetabl

The (ADC) has published a revised timetable for its 2026 primary elections, citing requests from aspirants and logistical considerations.

Key Changes

According to the updated schedule:

  • Submission of nomination forms moved from 13th May to 14th May 2026

  • Screening of aspirants shifted to 16th–17th May 2026

  • Screening results to be published on 17th May

  • Appeals against screening decisions scheduled for 18th–19th May

  • Final list of cleared candidates to be released on 20th May 2026

Appeal Dates

The party also outlined post-primary appeal dates:

  • Legislative appeals — 22nd May

  • Governorship appeals — 23rd May

  • Presidential appeals — 26th May

Additional Notice

ADC stated that:

  • Presidential and governorship screenings will hold in Abuja

  • Legislative screenings will take place in respective state capitals

The party also announced a concession for women and persons with disabilities, fixing their nomination cost at 25% of the standard fee.
