African Action Congress presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has taken another swipe at Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and his nephew, Afrobeats star Davido, accusing the governor of endorsing what he called Tinubu's failed presidency to continue its mission of destroying Nigeria beyond 2027.

In a post on his X account on Sunday, Sowore said the Adelekes and the Tinubus were, at the end of the day, only looking out for their own personal and political interests, watching each other's backs and safeguarding what he described as their loot.

He expressed sorrow for the nearly fifty people he said lost their lives to election violence during the Osun poll, arguing their deaths served only to let the two political families prove their loyalty to one another.

He also predicted that Davido, whom he described as the families' political scion, would soon return to what he called his vomit, the "City Boys," questioning whether the singer had ever truly distanced himself from that circle in the first place.

The remarks are the latest round in a running feud between Sowore and Davido that intensified through election week. The clash began after Sowore criticised Adeleke in an interview ahead of the poll, describing the governor in unflattering terms and calling Osogbo's infrastructure a "war zone."

Davido responded by sharing the clip and calling Sowore an "Arindin," a Yoruba term for someone considered foolish, prompting Sowore to turn the insult back on the governor and question his academic history.

The feud escalated further after Adeleke's re-election, when Sowore accused Davido of trying to have it both ways, maintaining the Adeleke family's political influence in Osun while embracing what he called the Tinubu establishment at the federal level.

He said Davido had blocked him on X following the exchange, which he took as confirmation that his message had struck a nerve. Sowore also urged the family to stop treating the Osun State treasury as what he called a "family jackpot" and to confront what he described as the harsh realities millions of Nigerians face daily.

Sowore's latest broadside follows Adeleke's public reaffirmation of his endorsement of Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election, made shortly after INEC declared him winner of the August 15 governorship poll. The governor described Tinubu as "a son of Osun State" and thanked him for what he called his support for a free and fair election.

Davido had also been a vocal presence throughout election day, raising concerns about alleged attempts by INEC, the APC and security agencies to influence the outcome, before his uncle's post-victory remarks shifted attention toward the Adeleke family's relationship with the presidency.
