The police in Ekiti State say that they have arrested a suspect over the recent robbery attack on the hostels of the students of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, SP Sunday Abutu, said on Tuesday that some items, including a face mask and a motorcycle suspected of being used to perpetrate the act, were recovered from the suspect.

The attack on the private hostels used by the students, which caused panic in the off-campus and Iworoko area, was said to have forced many students to flee for safety.
