A lady has sparked online debate after claiming that men, particularly in Abuja, are also gold diggers, just like many women.

In a detailed post, she shared her experience since moving to the city, saying she had initially been skeptical of the claims about men seeking women for financial gain.

“It is happening. Before I came to Abuja I didn’t believe it. When they told me Abuja men are this and that I didn’t believe it. I’m not the type to judge till it came to me,” she wrote.

She described how men would ask to know where she lived, whether she lived alone, and how much she had, with the ultimate goal of requesting money.

She added that while women are often accused of spending men’s money, men also engage in similar behaviour, seeking partners to leech from financially.
