Hiring: Sales Manager/Leader

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time

Salary & Compensation: Base Salary: ₦200,000 - ₦500,000/month

Performance-Based Incentives: Up to ₦5,000,000/month

Quarterly Salary Increase: Opportunity for 15% salary increase every quarter based on achieving targets

Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced Sales Manager. The company is a licensed study-abroad company that helps students move to affordable countries for their Higher education. It's main office is in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with satellite offices in Abuja and Lagos, and a presence in over 20 countries worldwide.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead & manage the sales team to consistently hit weekly and monthly revenue targets.

- Train, recruit, coach, and improve sales performance through call reviews, roleplays, feedback, and objection-handling support.

- Set and track KPIs (daily follow-ups, calls, meetings booked, conversions, closed deals) and enforce accountability.

- Manage the sales pipeline to ensure leads are followed up properly and no opportunities go cold.

- Close high-value deals and support the team with difficult prospects when needed.

- Maintain accurate reporting & CRM updates (pipeline status, team performance, forecasts, deal tracking).

- Improve sales scripts and processes to increase conversion rate and overall team efficiency.

- Work closely with marketing/operations to improve lead quality, customer onboarding, and overall customer experience

- Identify growth opportunities through new product introductions, share expansion, margin improvement, and portfolio optimization

- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote our products and solutions.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.

- Increase close rate, Increase average deal size, Reduce churn/refunds, Upsell/cross-sell where possible

- Set the standard for professionalism and urgency, Build a winning sales culture

Requirements

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales

- Strong understanding of the Nigerian, and African Market

- Proven experience in sales team leadership/management) with clear results.

- Strong ability to close deals, handle objections, and guide prospects from interest to payment.

- Experience managing a sales pipeline/CRM

- Ability to train and coach sales reps

- Strong communication skills (written + spoken) and professional follow-up discipline.

- Ability to work with targets and KPIs and consistently hit weekly/monthly goals.

- High level of ownership, accountability, and leadership

- Organized, fast-paced, and able to perform under pressure with deadlines.

- Availability for daily team check-ins, reporting, and consistent follow-ups with leads.

- Must have a reliable phone/laptop, stable internet, and ability to work remotely
