Which state pays the highest allowance?

Before choosing a state based on rumors, here's an important fact:

Federal Allowance vs State Allowance

The Federal Government pays every corps member ₦77,000 monthly, regardless of the state of deployment.

State allowances, however, are not guaranteed. They vary from state to state, depend on your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA), and in many cases are irregular or not paid at all.

States That Currently Pay State Allowances

Adamawa – ₦30,000 (starts after 3 months; inconsistent)

Akwa Ibom – ₦20,000

Anambra – ₦8,500 (Government PPAs only)

Bayelsa – ₦6,000–₦10,000 (based on location)

Benue – ₦15,000 (Doctors receive more)

Borno – ₦5,000

Delta – ₦60,000 (paid at the end of service)

Enugu – ₦800–₦3,800

Jigawa – ₦5,000–₦26,000 (Health workers earn more)

Lagos – ₦20,000 (Government PPAs only)

Nasarawa – ₦5,000

Niger – ₦50,000 (Medical corps members only)
