“THE PPA THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING”

When Ibrahim got his NYSC posting, he wasn't happy.

He had been posted to a company he had never heard of, in an area he barely knew. His first thought was:

“I'm just going to complete this service year and leave.”

For the first few weeks, he did exactly that. He reported to work, completed his tasks and counted down the months to POP.

Then one afternoon, his supervisor gave him a task he had never done before.

Instead of saying he couldn't do it, Ibrahim decided to learn.

That one task led to another.

Soon, he was handling responsibilities he never imagined he would get as a corps member. He started learning new skills, building relationships and becoming more confident.

Six months later, something unexpected happened.

His supervisor called him into the office and said:

“We're impressed with your work. We'd like you to stay after NYSC.”

The PPA he couldn't wait to leave had suddenly become an opportunity he didn't want to lose.

Sometimes, the place you didn't choose can still teach you something you didn't know you needed.
