My NYSC experience in Abuja came with an unexpected challenge. I was posted to a school where the principal assigned me four classes to teach, while paying me just ₦5,000 monthly, without any additional allowance.

The situation was difficult because, as a corps member, I had other responsibilities and needed to manage my limited income. I considered changing my PPA, but that was not really an option because it was the only place that offered me accommodation, and I didn’t know anyone in Abuja who could accommodate me.

So, I had to stay and manage the situation. It was stressful, but it taught me patience, resilience, and how to handle difficult working conditions while completing my national service.
