2026 BATCH C STREAM I: IMPORTANT CAMP PREPARATION UPDATE

Are you part of the 2026 Batch C Stream I mobilisation?

If yes, camp is getting closer, and now is the time to start putting everything in place.

Here are some important things prospective corps members should take note of:

1. GET READY FOR YOUR CALL-UP LETTER

Call-up letters are expected to be released soon. Keep checking your NYSC portal and stay alert for official updates.

2. YOUR CAMP POSTING MAY BE ANYWHERE

Camp posting is generally based on NYSC deployment arrangements. Be prepared for the possibility of being posted to a state different from what you expected.

Married female PCMs should also take note of the provisions that may apply to them regarding posting to their husband's state of residence.

3. PREPARE YOUR BODY AND MIND

Orientation camp can be physically demanding.

Get enough rest before travelling, prepare mentally and make sure you are physically ready for the camp routine.

4. CAMP FEEDING IS PROVIDED

Meals are provided during orientation camp, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

However, you may still want to budget for personal snacks, drinks and other things you might need from the Mami Market.

5. SORT OUT YOUR CAMP KITS EARLY

Don't wait until the last minute before getting your essential camp items.

Prepare your clothing, footwear, toiletries and other personal necessities ahead of your journey.

6. REMEMBER THAT CAMP HAS RULES

NYSC orientation camp operates within a structured, paramilitary environment.

Be prepared to follow camp instructions and regulations. Avoid taking prohibited or unnecessary items with you.

7. LADIES, PACK YOUR PERIOD ESSENTIALS

Your period may come while you're in camp, so don't leave your menstrual products until you arrive.

Pack enough sanitary products and other personal hygiene items before travelling.

8. CAMP IS EXPECTED TO OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 30

The update indicates that orientation camp is scheduled to officially open on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

If you have a long journey ahead, plan your trip early and avoid unnecessary last-minute travelling.

9. PREPARE FOR DIFFERENT WEATHER AND LOCATIONS

You may be posted to a state you're unfamiliar with, so prepare accordingly.

Pack what you genuinely need and keep an open mind about your deployment.

10. NOT READY TO REPORT?

If you receive your call-up details but cannot report for the current mobilisation, don't panic.

Follow the applicable NYSC procedures regarding future mobilisation rather than simply ignoring your call-up.

11. TAKE YOUR ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS SERIOUSLY

Make sure you have the required original academic documents needed for registration.

If there is any issue with your certificate or Statement of Result, resolve it with your institution and/or the appropriate NYSC officials before travelling.

12. PAY ATTENTION TO THE REPORTING DEADLINE

The update states that Friday, October 2, 2026 is the final reporting date.

Don't leave your journey until the last minute. Confirm the official reporting instructions and plan accordingly.

13. CHECK YOUR DETAILS BEFORE LEAVING

Check your date of graduation and other important information on your documents, Green Card and Call-up Letter.

If you notice any discrepancy, get it resolved before reporting to camp.

14. DON'T FORGET YOUR MEDICAL DOCUMENTS

If you have a medical condition or require documentation relating to medical restrictions, relocation or exemption from strenuous activities, make sure you have the appropriate documents before travelling.
