At 28, Daniel was a young man struggling to survive. He earned a living transporting passengers with his motorcycle. It wasn't much, but it was enough to pay his rent, buy food and support his mother.
One afternoon, he received a call from the hospital. His mother had been rushed in, and the doctors said she needed urgent surgery.
The estimated cost was far beyond what he had in his bank account.
Daniel became desperate. He called friends and relatives, but everyone had one excuse or another. Some promised to help but never showed up.
After two sleepless nights, he made a painful decision: he sold the only motorcycle he depended on for survival.
When his friends heard about it, some called him foolish.
"How will you survive now? You have sold your only source of income!" they asked.
Daniel simply replied, "I can always find another way to make money, but I cannot replace my mother."
Thankfully, his mother's surgery was successful.
Today, Daniel is slowly rebuilding his life. He has started working again, doing small jobs to make ends meet.
But one thing he says he will never forget is how quickly people disappeared when he needed help the most.
Question for everyone:
If you were in Daniel's position, would you also sell your only source of income to save your mother's life, even if it meant starting life all over again?
Let's hear your honest opinions in the comments.
