My neighbour's 20-year-old daughter, who schools at IMSU, came back home yesterday with an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
This is a girl whose father is currently struggling to pay her ₦350k rent ooo.
When her father saw the phone, he asked her how she got over ₦2.5M to buy it.
She said it was a birthday gift from one of her friends.
The man didn't believe her, so he told her to bring the friend home so he could meet the person who gave her such an expensive gift.
That's when the girl flared up.
She started insulting her father, calling him a failure and saying that since she entered school, he had never bothered to ask how she was surviving.
She reminded him that he barely contributes towards her rent, textbooks and school fees, even though the man has been struggling to provide these things.
She was saying all these things in front of her mother when her elder brother suddenly came back.
He got angry and started beating her.
She became very angry, packed her things and left the house.
Since then, she hasn't returned home, she has not been picking her calls and now the wife is accusing the husband of sending their daughter away because she was able to afford for herself what he couldn't afford for her.
The man sent her packing too for supporting her daughter knowing that she is going astray.
