Fear has gripped Benue State following the abduction of two students of Joseph Sarwuan University, Makurdi, by unidentified gunmen.

The incident, which occurred recently, has left fellow students and parents in shock, sparking renewed concerns about safety within and around campuses in the state. Sources say the armed men invaded the area and whisked away the victims to an unknown destination.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement, but many are calling on security agencies to swing into urgent action to secure the release of the abducted students and restore confidence among the university community.
