“My Project Supervisor Says He Doesn’t Want Sex – But Why Does He Keep Touching Me?”
I’m in my final year, studying Accounting, topping my class and also the class rep. At this stage in my academic life, the only thing I should be stressed about is completing my project and graduating. Instead, I’m stuck in a confusing and uncomfortable situation, with the one person who has control over this final bar - my project supervisor.
It started subtly. He told me he admired my intelligence and leadership. Then he started calling me into his office more than usual always under the guise of “checking my progress.” He made it clear he wasn’t interested in me and swore he had no intention of sleeping with me. Yet somehow, his hands always find a way to touch me during those office visits.
The worst part? After our last semester exam, he boldly told me, “I added some marks for you.” It wasn’t a compliment it was a warning. A power play.
Now, he’s deliberately delaying feedback on the final two chapters of my project. And I can’t report him because I have no solid evidence just my word against his.
I know I deserve to graduate without compromise. But I’m stuck between fear, pressure and the clock ticking fast.
What would you do if your academic future was in the hands of someone who wants more than just papers?
