The Federal Government has appointed Prof. Mufutau Olaoye Atayese as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Agriculture, Iragbiji, Osun State.

Prof. Atayese, a seasoned academic and administrator, will be responsible for laying the foundation of the institution, shaping its vision and steering its academic and administrative structures as it begins operations.

His appointment has been widely welcomed in academic circles, with many expressing optimism that his wealth of experience will help position the new university as a hub for agricultural innovation, research, and capacity building in Nigeria.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Iragbiji, was established as part of the government’s drive to expand access to higher education and strengthen the agricultural sector by producing skilled graduates who can tackle food security challenges.
