If you don’t mind watching movies that aren’t necessarily feel-good, then Homebound is one I’d recommend.
This movie made me so emotional. I shed a couple of tears, and honestly, it left me with a lot to think about.
One thing that stood out to me was how much discrimination people experience in different aspects of life, sometimes in ways we don’t fully understand or even realize. It also made me reflect on how COVID affected people who found themselves stranded in places far away from their families, with little or no support.
Yes, the lockdowns were necessary to help contain the virus, but the reality is that many people were caught in situations they weren’t prepared for, and some of them had to bear the consequences in ways we may never fully understand.
I think sometimes we get so caught up in our own experiences that we forget how differently other people experience the same situations.
All in all, Homebound was a really good watch. It’s emotional, thought-provoking, and the kind of movie that stays with you even after the credits roll.
Definitely one to watch if you’re in the mood for something meaningful.
