MY OXYGEN (Revelation 2:4–5)
Cynthia had just finished cooking her lunch and went straight to the living room to eat and watch her favorite TV show when she began to smell something strange from the kitchen.
The air suddenly felt thick and heavy. Then she realized—she had forgotten to turn off the gas. Before she could react, the whole room grew stuffy. She gasped for breath.
Cynthia was asthmatic, and her inhaler was in the bedroom. She struggled to reach the door to call for help, but her strength failed her.
A neighbor, noticing smoke from Cynthia’s window, rushed in and found her collapsed on the floor, gasping.
“My inhaler… my inhaler…” she whispered.
“Where is it?” the neighbor asked, panicking.
Cynthia could only lift a trembling hand, pointing toward her bedroom—then lost consciousness.
The neighbor shouted for help, and others came running. They rushed Cynthia to the hospital, where she was immediately given oxygen. Slowly, her breathing returned.
Beloved, do you know why your life may not be breathing as it should?
It might be because you’ve forgotten your oxygen—the very source of your life: Jesus.
Just as Cynthia forgot her inhaler, many of us have forgotten our first love.
Don’t wait until your soul starts gasping.
Carry Jesus with you everywhere you go.
He is your Oxygen. 💙
Stay blessed.
