The Internal Compass
The voice in Sarah’s head was a cruel navigator. "You’re off course," it hissed during the presentation. She corrected her tone. "You’re drifting," it warned during the meeting. She sharpened her focus. By evening, she had reached the destination, exhausted and bleeding, but exactly where she was supposed to be.
