A tired heart

Broken Heart

You're troubled by your setback

Ruminating on all you've endured

The labor, the hopes, the weight of expectation

You should have lifted a basket

Brimming with blessings

Yet emptiness was your recompense

So you regretted every miles of sacrifice

The gigantic cost that yield grief

A victory overturned to sorrow, tears

and silence

Gathered your scattered thoughts

The season of harvest has arrived

Your effort have birthed an ocean of abundance

A tide of fish too great to count

A feast prepared by the same hand that ones shook

Now you shall taste and be filled

And still leave overflow for generations

For those who will work the road after you

And know your name not by your breaking

But by your rising
