Saved Time While Ticking

Some moments have walked past my life

Ones I never seem to get back

Yet, caught in the present

I'm reminded of how overwhelming they were,

With deep patience and waiting that never came on time

I kept the only golden boot left

Cleaned, polished, hanging in faith

Ready for every chance that finds me

I set my pace, stood my ground

Even when everything feels shattered like a broken glass, beneath my steps

While I feel like some winnings wave at me 'bye-bye'

I keep yielding, healing from every setback

Though some victories came slowly

Still,I keep to shoot my shot 'clean, straight'

I begin to mirror time

Seeing who I've become

And who I still hope to be

Those fragile edges of the past

Remain precious

Quietly preparing me for a brighter cast of sunlight

Leaving a brilliant footprint ahead
