The Shadow that Moved

The power went out just as Musa finished his assignment. At first, he sighed in frustration, but then something unusual happened. The silence felt deeper, almost alive. He lit a candle and noticed shadows dancing on the walls, forming shapes that seemed to move with intention. As he stared, one shadow stepped forward, separating itself from the rest. Musa froze. The shadow raised a hand as if greeting him. Fear gripped him, but curiosity held him still. Then, just as suddenly, the lights came back on, and everything returned to normal. The shadow was gone. Musa blinked, unsure if it had been real. But later that night, he noticed something strange—his own shadow did not quite match his movements anymore.
