The river doesn't know what a "week" is, but it understands the flow. On Sunday, Sarah sat by the bank and dropped a leaf into the water. She watched it disappear around the bend. "That’s Monday through Saturday," she thought. The water kept coming, never the same twice, always pushing forward. Sunday was the moment she realized she was the river, not the leaf. The week could be turbulent or calm, but it was always moving. She dipped her hands into the cold water, washing away the dust of her travels, and felt the current of the new week pulling her toward a future she couldn't see, but could finally trust.
