Lagos Church Breaks Barriers With All Sign Language Worship
In the heart of Somolu, Lagos, a unique church is redefining inclusive worship by conducting all its services entirely in sign language. Using drum vibrations to signal transitions, the church creates a welcoming spiritual space for 50 to 60 deaf worshippers every week.
Founded in 1956, the church has become a hub for the deaf community and also offers sign language classes to promote wider understanding and inclusion.
