A pastor has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife just hours after their wedding, upon discovering she was transman.

Pastor Marcus, 36, reportedly killed 27-year-old Ariana on their wedding night after she revealed her gender identity, which she had kept private.

Pastor Marcus called the police and confessed to the killing of his bride. Ariana was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.

The killing has sparked outrage among LGBTQ+ rights groups, who are demanding the case be treated as a hate crime. Friends described Ariana as kind and spiritual, mourning a life they say was taken by hate and betrayal.

Marcus remains in custody without bail. Formal charges are pending.
