Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has met with Senator Abdulaziz Yari in Monaco, barely a day after Yari was appointed Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.

Otedola shared photos from the meeting on Sunday, August 23, 2026, describing it as a “lovely afternoon” spent with the former Zamfara State governor.

“Such a lovely afternoon today, 23 August 2026, with His Excellency Senator AbdulAzeez Yari in Monaco. Congratulations on your appointment as DG of the Presidential Campaign Council 🙂 … F.Ote💲,” Otedola wrote.

The meeting comes shortly after the APC unveiled its expanded Presidential Campaign Council, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chairman, Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice Chairmen, and Yari as Director-General. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was named Secretary.

Yari's appointment places him at the centre of the APC's campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The expanded council comprises more than 200 members and includes serving and former political office holders assigned to various directorates and mobilisation roles.

Otedola's public congratulatory message also comes amid recent attention surrounding his relationship with Yari, particularly following developments involving Geregu Power. The meeting in Monaco therefore provides a notable public display of cordiality between the two businessmen.

With the 2027 election increasingly taking shape, Yari's new role is expected to make him one of the key figures responsible for coordinating the APC's campaign efforts and mobilisation in support of President Tinubu's re-election bid.
