Suspected gunmen have reportedly attacked two commercial vehicles along the busy Benin–Lagos Expressway, killing the driver and abducting an unspecified number of passengers in a fresh wave of insecurity on Nigerian highways.

According to initial reports circulating online, the assailants intercepted the vehicle along the highway, opened fire, and fatally shot the driver before forcefully taking passengers into nearby bushes.
