BREAKING: Tinubu to Commission Nigeria’s First New Crude Oil Export Terminal in 50 Years $400M Otakikpo Facility Set to Transform Energy Sector❤️✊🇳🇬

Nigeria is on the verge of making history as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu prepares to commission the $400 million Otakikpo Onshore Crude Oil Export Terminal in Rivers State on October 8 the first crude export facility to be built in the country in more than five decades.

The landmark project, developed by Green Energy International Limited (GEIL) in Ikuru Town, Andoni LGA, stands as the first wholly Nigerian-built onshore crude export terminal since the Forcados Terminal in 1971.

Set to boost indigenous participation in the oil and gas sector, the Otakikpo Terminal will not only solve Nigeria’s crude evacuation challenges but also create thousands of jobs, attract foreign investment, and reinforce Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for economic diversification and energy reform.

The high-profile commissioning will be attended by top officials, including Minister of State for Petroleum (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara highlighting strong federal and state collaboration.

Industry experts say the new facility will enhance Nigeria’s crude export capacity, restore investor confidence, and drive local wealth creation, positioning the country once again as Africa’s energy powerhouse under President Tinubu’s leadership.

👉 This isn’t just an oil terminal; it’s a 50-year milestone redefining Nigeria’s oil and gas future
