Niger State Urban Development Board has marked the Badeggi FM Radio for demolition.

Daily Trust had reported how the governor directed the State Commissioner of Police and Commissioner for Homeland Security, Brigadier General Bello Abdullahi Mohammed RTD to shut down the station for alleged public incitement during the expanded APC stakeholders meeting on Friday.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, was among those in attendance.

The governor also sought the support of the Minister to clamp down on the radio station for alleged anti-government activities and promotion of banditry in the state.

Our correspondent who visited the station, on Saturday, reports that it was marked by the State Urban Development Board.

The governor in a viral video sighted by Daily Trust also accused the station of promoting banditry and vowed to write to the Minister to revoke the licence of the station.
